Top 5 Bets for the Weekend: January 26-27

We pick through the list of odds and stats to find some bets we like the look of, so you don’t have to!

Melbourne Victory v Sydney – Both Teams to Score – 1.55 – BET HERE

Both teams have scored in six of Melbourne Victory’s eight home league games this season. This trend has carried over from the last A-League campaign, when their final five home matches also saw both teams score. The same has occurred in eight of the last ten league games involving Sydney, who have now found the net in 27 consecutive matches in the A-League. Seven of the last ten matches played between these sides have seen them both on the scoresheet. Could it happen again?

Barnsley v Rochdale – Barnsley Win – 1.45 – BET HERE

Barnsley are fifth in League One, five points from top with a game in hand over the teams above them. They have won four of their last five league matches and are unbeaten at home this season with eight wins and five draws. In contrast, Rochdale are only one point above the relegation zone after four defeats in five matches. They lost 4-0 at home to Barnsley in August and have also been beaten on their last two visits to Oakwell. The hosts are understandably favourites here.

Feyenoord v Ajax – Over 2.5 Goals – 1.45 – BET HERE

Feyenoord’s tally of 36 goals in 18 Eredivisie games this season means they average exactly two goals per match. Unsurprisingly, this has meant that seven of their last ten league games have featured Over 2.5 Goals. However, Ajax have scored in an incredible 64 league goals this season, including 28 away from home (the highest figure in the Eredivisie). There have been Over 2.5 Goals in nine of their last ten matches, with a total of 31 goals in the past five alone! Considering three of these sides’ last four meetings have been similarly high-scoring, there should be goals here.

Atalanta v AS Roma – Both Teams to Score – 1.45 – BET HERE

Eight of Atalanta’s last ten matches in Serie A have featured goals from both teams, as have seven of AS Roma’s last ten league games. Furthermore, eight of the past ten matches between these sides have yielded goals at both ends. It looks a good bet this time around.

Parma v SPAL – Under 2.5 Goals – 1.55 – BET HERE

Parma have netted a paltry 19 times in 20 league games this season, but have largely avoided danger thanks to only conceding 24 goals. Under 2.5 Goals have been scored in seven of their ten home league games this season, as well as in four of their past five matches. SPAL have only scored 16 goals this season and there have also been Under 2.5 Goals in four of their past five league games. SPAL ran out 1-0 winners in the reverse fixture this season, and the rematch is unlikely to feature many goals either.
