Top 5 Bets for the Week: December 4-6

There’s lots of football action this week as we enter the busy festive period. We’ve looked at the odds and stats and came up with Top 5 Bets of the Week for you to consider. Bet on these games here.

Leicester City v Watford – Jamie Vardy to Score – 1.65

Leicester are on a six-game winning streak in the Premier League and they can make it seven when they play bottom-placed side, Watford. That phenomenal run has been aided by the outstanding form of Jamie Vardy. The 32-year-old striker has now scored in six successive league games. He has scored in each of his last three meetings with Watford, including the last at the King Power Stadium. Taking into account how poor Watford’s defence has been this season, the Englishman shouldn’t find it hard to score.

Southampton v Norwich City – Over 2.5 Goals – 1.55

Southampton and Norwich meet in a crucial encounter that could have serious consequences at the end of the season. The Saints got their first win since late September on Saturday against Watford while Norwich have one win since beating Manchester City in mid-September. These two teams have the top two worst defensive records in the league. Southampton have conceded 32 while the Canaries have conceded 30 goals in 14 games. The Saints’ last five league matches have seen Over 2.5 Goals. Norwich have conceded twice in five of their seven away trips. Therefore, there should be goals at St Mary’s.

PSG v Nantes – Mauro Icardi to Score – 1.75

PSG are five points clear on top of Ligue 1 with a game in hand. They have won nine of their last 11 games in all competitions and hosts Nantes on Wednesday night. The visitors’ impressive start to the season has faded away after losing four of their last six league games. Mauro Icardi has scored ten goals in 12 appearances for the French giants with six of them coming in seven Ligue 1 appearances. He has found the net in PSG’s last three home games in the league.

Arsenal v Brighton – Over 2.5 Goals – 1.50

The manager-less Gunners welcome Brighton to the Emirates as they seek to get their first win in eight games in all competitions. Brighton are just hovering above the relegation zone after three straight losses. Arsenal’s last three games in all competitions and three of Brighton’s four league matches have seen Over 2.5 Goals. Arsenal’s defensive showing last weekend against Norwich left a lot to be desired while Brighton’s away form is worrying.

Inter Milan v AS Roma – Inter Milan Win – 1.90

Following Juventus’ 2-2 draw with Sassuolo, Inter Milan’s comfortable win over SPAL saw them move to the top of the Serie A, a point above the reigning champions. Inter are having a splendid season. They have won 12 of their 14 games and lost just once while having the second-best defence. They have won their last five Serie A games. AS Roma, on the other hand, are having a decent season so far. They sit fifth and they have eight wins from 14 Serie A games. This encounter has been much tighter in recent seasons. Inter were the last side to emerge winners in this fixture back in 2017. Since then, there have been three draws. Antonio Conte’s men know a win can put more pressure on Juventus meaning they’ll need to win this encounter. Their form this season gives them the upper hand in this game.
