Mr. Predictor tips for the week's football

Hi everyone and welcome to my latest tipping blog. It’s been relentless so far with all of the games but I have managed to maintain a strong record. Let’s see if I can keep it going.

Arsenal v Liverpool – Wednesday 15 July – Premier League

Arsenal are looking to bounce back after their 2-1 defeat to North London rivals, Tottenham. It was the same story of an untrustworthy defence for the Gunners. How Mikel Arteta fixes this could define his career at the Emirates.

Liverpool come to town having only managed a draw to Burnley on Saturday. They too want to get back to winning ways.

Both Teams to Score has been a winning bet in the previous five meetings between these two, so I am backing this again.

Atalanta v Brescia – Tuesday 14 July – Serie A

Atalanta are fast becoming the entertainers of Europe. They have scored more goals than any other side in Serie A (87), 20 more than leaders Juventus. The Bergamo-based club are all but guaranteed to be playing Champions League football again next season.

The same cannot be said for Brescia, who sit 19th in the table and are nine points away from safety. A swift return to Serie B is on the cards.

Looking through the stats, a comfortable win for Atalanta looks likely. For this reason I am backing Atalanta to win on the 0:1 Handicap. This happened in their last two home games.

Manchester City v Bournemouth – Wednesday 15 July – Premier League

Manchester City come into this game on the back of two 5-0 victories. On paper, you would expect a similar score line in this match. Pep Guardiola’s team also have a spring in their step following the news that their ban from the Champions League has been lifted.

Bournemouth boosted their survival hopes with a 4-1 win over Leicester on Sunday but this will surely be a step too far.

Over 3.5 Goals has won in three of the last five games for both sides. Therefore, I am adding this to my bet slip.

Burnley v Wolves – Wednesday 15 July – Premier League

Both teams had good results in their previous matches. Burnley secured a 1-1 draw at Anfield which stopped Liverpool’s impressive home record. Wolves on the other hand demolished Everton 3-0 in a one-sided contest at Molineux.

I can’t see there being that many goals in this game though. Under 2.5 Goals has won five times in a row for Burnley in the Premier League. Meanwhile the bet was a winner in seven of the last 10 games for Wolves.

Real Madrid v Villarreal – Thursday 16 July – La Liga

Real Madrid are looking good to seal the Liga title this campaign. They have been a force at the Bernabeu lately, with six consecutive wins recorded and only one goal conceded in that run.

Villarreal are not in bad form themselves and this will be a tricky tie, but I have to back a Real Madrid Win.
