Mr. Predictor tackles the Madrid Derby and the Mourinho/Guardiola reunion

Hello everyone. This weekend I’m looking at the Madrid Derby and biggest games in the Premier League, as well as a clash at the top of the Bundesliga. You can bet on all of these games here.

Leicester 1 v 1 Chelsea – Saturday 1 February – Premier League – Both Teams to Score (1.50)

Despite both of these teams having dropped points in recent weeks, they are still in the top four and focused on Champions League qualification. Leicester are third, eight points above Chelsea, but have lost three of their last five games overall. That said, they’ve only been beaten twice at the King Power this season. Chelsea haven’t managed to win against the Foxes in 90 minutes in any of their last five meetings, four of which have been draws. I’m going for another Draw this time.

Real Madrid 1 v 0 Atletico Madrid – Saturday 1 February – La Liga – Under 2.5 Goals (1.65)

This is the second Madrid Derby of the year after Real beat their rivals on penalties in the Super Cup final. They are unbeaten in their last 19 games, having won 13 of those, and are now top of La Liga. Atletico are fourth and haven’t won any of their last four games since they defeated Barcelona in the Super Cup semi-finals. Considering that Real have won seven of their ten home league games this season, I’m backing them to win. I’m also going for Under 2.5 Goals, which has come in four of the last five derbies in La Liga, as well as that final in January.

Manchester United 1 v 1 Wolves – Saturday 1 February – Premier League – Both Teams to Score (1.85)

United have had promising results in the cups this week which will have restored some confidence after a poor string of results. They’re facing Wolves for the third time in 2020, having drawn with them in the FA Cup before beating them 1-0 in the replay. Wolves have lost three of their last five league games but they’re still level on points with the Red Devils. I think this will end in a Draw and I’m going for Both Teams to Score, which has happened in 19 of Wolves’ 24 league games this season.

RB Leipzig 3 v 1 Borussia Monchengladbach – Saturday 1 February – Bundesliga – Over 2.5 Goals (1.45)

How will RB Leipzig respond after they lost last weekend? They’re still top of the Bundesliga and have been dominant at home, winning their last five league games there. All of those wins have featured Over 2.5 Goals, which is why I’m backing it here. As for Monchengladbach, they are third in the standings, just two points behind Leipzig. However, they haven’t won any of their last four away league games and lost at home to Leipzig in August. I’m going for a Home Win.

Tottenham 1 v 3 Manchester City – Sunday 2 February – Premier League – Manchester City Win (1.55)

It’s time to see Jose Mourinho take on Pep Guardiola again! This clash doesn’t carry the same excitement as some of their previous meetings since neither side are fighting for the title this time. Tottenham are unbeaten in their last four league games but they’ve lost all three of their games against established ‘Big Six’ sides since Mourinho arrived. They are 17 points behind City, who have won seven of their last ten league games. These sides drew 2-2 in August but I’m behind City here.
