Mr. Predictor looks at the Milan Derby, plus big games for Barcelona and Bayern

Hi everyone! I’m looking at games from several leagues this weekend. As always, I’ve explained the reasons behind my tips here. You can bet on all of the games here.

Brighton 1 v 1 Watford – Saturday 8 February – Premier League – Both Teams to Score (1.75)

Brighton beat Watford 3-0 on the opening weekend of the season but the Hornets have changed manager twice since then. Nigel Pearson was initially a success when he arrived in December, but his side have not won any of their last four games. That said, Brighton have only won one of their last 11 games in all competitions. Neither of these sides are in good form and, considering Watford have only won two away games this season, I’m backing a Draw.

Bayer Leverkusen 1 v 2 Borussia Dortmund – Saturday 8 February – Bundesliga – Over 2.5 Goals (1.40)

Dortmund were eliminated from the DFB Pokal by Werder Bremen on Tuesday but they’re on a great run in the Bundesliga. They are third in the table and have won three league games in row, scoring five goals in each of those. In fact, they have scored 17 goals across four matches overall in 2020. Fifth-placed Leverkusen have only won four of their ten home games this season in the Bundesliga and have lost each of their last four games against Dortmund. All of those meetings saw Over 2.5 Goals, so I’m going for the same in an Away Win.

Bayern Munich 3 v 1 RB Leipzig – Sunday 9 February – Bundesliga – Bayern Win and Over 2.5 Goals (1.60)

This is a massive game! These are the top two teams in the Bundesliga and a win for either side would be huge. Bayern have won eight of their last ten league games, including each of the last six. Leipzig, on the other hand, are a point behind them but haven’t won any of their last three games in all competitions. Worse still, they have won just one of their last five away games. It’s the worst time for them to suffer a drop in form, so I have to back Bayern this time. I’m also going for Over 2.5 Goals, which has happened in 18 of Bayern’s 20 league games this season and 16 of Leipzig’s.

Inter Milan 1 v 0 AC Milan – Sunday 9 February – Serie A – Inter Milan Win (2.00)

The Milan Derby is one of the biggest fixtures in Italy and the fact that Inter are in the title race gives it extra importance. Antonio Conte’s side are second at the start of the weekend after a 15-game unbeaten run in the Serie A. They have won three of their last five games at the San Siro in all competitions, but AC Milan are in good form too. They are eighth in the table and haven’t lost in their last five league games. Despite this, I still think Inter have the upper hand, especially considering that they have won four of the last five derbies in the Serie A, so I think they’ll win.

Real Betis 2 v 2 Barcelona – Sunday 9 February – La Liga – Both Teams to Score (1.50)

This will be a special game for new Barcelona manager Quique Sétien, who used to manage Betis and masterminded a famous 4-3 win with them last season at the Nou Camp. His former side have not won any of their last three games, but they have only lost three times this season on home turf. Barcelona have only won four of their 11 away league games this season, including none of the past three. This game comes just three days after their game at Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey and I’m not sure they will get the win.
