A preview of the midweek games, courtesy of Mr. Predictor

I’m looking at a mixture of matches over the next two days. I got all five Match Tips right at the weekend – let’s keep the good run going!

France v Belgium – Tuesday 10 July – World Cup – BET HERE

France are through to the World Cup semi-finals for the first time since 2006 after they beat Uruguay comfortably on Friday, meaning that they’ve won four of their five matches at the tournament. Belgium have won all five of their games though, and their performance against Brazil was possibly the most impressive I’ve seen so far. These sides played out a 4-3 goalfest when they played a friendly in 2015, and I expect Both Teams to Score here. I’ll go for a Draw in 90 minutes.

Match Tip: Both Teams to Score
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: France 1 v 1 Belgium

Alashkert v Celtic – Tuesday 10 July – Champions League Qualifier – BET HERE

Alashkert won the Armenian Premier League last season but have drawn all three of their friendlies in pre-season. They have only won two of their previous eight qualifiers, and they lack Celtic’s experience. The Scottish Premiership champions have won three of their four summer friendlies and reached the group stage last season with four wins in six qualifiers. I’ll back them here too.

Match Tip: Under 2.5 Goals
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Alashkert 0 v 2 Celtic

Cork City v Legia Warsaw – Tuesday 10 July – Champions League Qualifier – BET HERE

This is the first time that Cork City have appeared in the Champions League qualifiers since 2006 and they don’t come into this game in good form. They haven’t won any of their last three matches, while Legia have eight wins in ten games overall. The visitors have also won four of their last five Champions League qualifiers, so I think they’ll win this one.

Match Tip: Legia Warsaw Win
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Cork City 1 v 2 Legia Warsaw

Croatia v England – Wednesday 11 July – World Cup – BET HERE

Croatia have taken the long route to the semi-finals after consecutive victories on penalties in the knockout stages. However, in both knockout games they went behind and equalised within ten minutes, so they’ve proven their mental strength. England are in the last four for the first time since 1990 and weren’t really troubled by Sweden, but Croatia are far tougher. I see extra time.

Match Tip: Under 2.5 Goals
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Croatia 1 v 1 England

Valur v Rosenborg – Wednesday 11 July – Champions League Qualifier – BET HERE

Both of these sides are second in their respective leagues, but only one has any real experience of European football. Rosenborg went out to Celtic in the qualifiers last season but have won seven of their last ten games in all competitions. Valur have won six of their past ten matches, but the visitors have been here before and I think they’ll get an Away Win.

Match Tip: Under 3.5 Goals
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Valur 0 v 1 Rosenborg
