Hi gang, I’m looking at the matches in the FA Cup and Ligue 1 this weekend.
Newport v Manchester City – Saturday 16 February – FA Cup – BET HERE
Newport have done really well to beat Leicester and Middlesbrough, but this game will be much harder. City have scored 40 goals in their last ten matches and will not take this game lightly. The Citizens lost to Wigan in this round a year ago and Pep Guardiola will make sure that they are at their best here. I think that Newport will fight well, but this will be a win for City.

Lille v Montpellier – Sunday 17 February – Ligue 1 – BET HERE
These two sides are competing for a place in the top three, but Lille are in much better form. They have won their last five games in Ligue 1 and are 12 points above Montpellier. The visitors are fourth but they have only won two of their last ten games in the league. They also lost 1-0 to Lille in December. I’m going for a Home Win.

Villarreal v Sevilla – Sunday 17 February – La Liga – BET HERE
Both of these teams played away in the Europa League on Thursday, so I expect some tired legs here. Villarreal have drawn four of their last five home league games, and both teams have scored in eight of their last ten games at El Madrigal. Sevilla are fourth in the table but haven’t won any of their last eight away matches in La Liga. I’m going for a Draw.

Saint-Etienne v PSG – Sunday 17 February – Ligue 1 – BET HERE
PSG proved on Tuesday that they don’t need Neymar or Edinson Cavani to get a result when they outclassed Manchester United. They’ve only won two of their last five away games in Ligue 1 but they have beaten Saint-Etienne in 12 of their last 15 encounters, which doesn’t give me much hope for the hosts. Considering Saint-Etienne’s poor record against the top teams this season, I see an Away Win.
Match Tip: Over 2.5 Goals (Odd: 1.50)

Chelsea v Manchester United – Monday 18 Feburary – FA Cup – BET HERE
This is a repeat of the 2018 final, which Chelsea won 1-0. I should also point out that they beat United 1-0 in 2017 too. Obviously Chelsea’s defeat to Manchester City has rocked their confidence, but they have won eight of their last ten home games and have only conceded three goals in that time. Manchester United beat Arsenal in the last round but they suffered some injuries against PSG that might affect their tactics. I think that Chelsea will win again.
