Big Game Focus: Wolves v Leicester City

Wolves and Leicester City will look to enhance their European qualification hopes when they meet at Molineux on Friday night which will be their first match following their two-week winter break. Can the hosts slay another top team? Here’s the Big Game Focus. Bet on the game here.

Wolves have slipped to ninth in the table but remain just four points behind fifth-placed Sheffield United and six points adrift of Champions League football. However, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side haven’t been in the best of form of late, winning just one of their last eight games across all competitions. They will be aiming to end that run on Friday night and boost their chances for a Champions League place.

Leicester, meanwhile, can move 13 points clear of fifth with a win. They can also move above Manchester City, who have a game in hand, to second with a win. The Foxes’ brilliant start to the campaign during which they seemed to be an outside contender for the title, has dissipated in recent weeks and they head into tonight’s contest with just two wins in their last seven matches in all competitions.

Betting preview

Wolves have lost just four home games in the Premier League since the start of 2019. The Foxes haven’t won at Molineux since December 2006. For that reason, you can back a Wolves Double Chance at odds of 1.42.

Both teams have found the net in four of Wolves last five home games in the league. Four of the Foxes’ last five games have seen both teams score. Therefore, you can back Both Teams to Score at odds of 1.77.

Three of Wolves’ last five games and Leicester’s last five Premier League matches have seen three or more goals scored. The last time these two met at Molineux, we witnessed a thriller which the hosts won 4-3. You can back Over 2.5 Goals at odds of 1.88.
